
Located in the western region of Silvyra, the land of Flowers, which include Aedela (its capital), Lake Arroya and many smaller towns and communities. It borders great forested mountains to the east, where the Rose Garden is located, the stewardship of which the people of Bloom are dedicated to.


The capital of Bloom in the western region of Silvyra, it is home to a vibrant community of families who grow the most spectacular flowers and plants in all of Silvyra. The town gets its name from a special flower that is traditionally cultivated and maintained by Bloom’s ruler.

A small water bird of brilliant blue, which is common in Bloom and the surrounding area.
This unique butterfly is the catalyst for pollination of the aedela flower and, by extension, the whole of Bloom. It lives an intertwined life with the flower, growing strong on its magical properties.
A nocturnal pollinator of Silvyra, most commonly found in Bloom. Nightbees are smaller and more delicate than the tufted bees of the daytime. Buzzing a merry hum, their strange and hypnotic blue glow illuminates the flowers they crawl in like lanterns.
Larger than a normal beetle, at least a foot in length, and with shiny quartz-patterned shells. Rock beetles are sensitive to aural patterns and rhythms and can chitter and dance in time with music. This capacity is used to train and communicate with them, by rapping laets against wooden bracelets. The rock beetle’s composition of mostly rock makes them a resilient species.
A large moth that flies in a flotilla formation, a big group of moths that resembles a bobbing wave.
Similar to rock beetles with glittering quartz carapaces, but horned and larger in size. Star beetles are often used for transportation, both for riding and pulling carts and carriages. The mounted units of Bloom’s Protectors also ride on the backs of star beetles.
A pollinator dancing between Bloom’s flowers during the daytime, larger and less delicate than its nocturnal cousin the nightbee.

All facts you need to know
This event occurs every five seasons in Silvyra during the harvest season, when the realm's two moons and sun line up together and cause the natural life of the realm to prosper and renew. Various cultures in Silvyra celebrate this event with a great celebration and consider it to be the most important event of all the seasons. The timing of the Conjunction is somewhat random with the people of Silvyra sensing and observing its coming by both their reaction to its effect on nature but also by observation of the moons and the sun.
Connected to the Flower of Life, the Seed of Life is a central philosophy for the people of Silvyra and reflects the need to find balance and unity with nature and respect the cycle of life.

A rare, pale blue-violet flower that glows in the moonlight. The aedela flower is the national plant of Bloom and yields the name for the region’s capital, Aedela. It is traditionally cared for by Aedela’s governor and serves an important function during the Conjunction Ceremony, being pollinated and renewed by the Luminan butterflies. These unique pollinators grow strong on the aedela flower’s magical properties, spreading it through the whole of Bloom, which prospers until the next harvest season, at which point the cycle begins again. A bud of this flower was one of the ingredients in the first Elixir of Life.
A plump, edible berry with a bluish tinge, lush and dark.
A tree that renders a hardwood common in Bloom and often used for the making of functional items such as flooring, furniture, staffs, and laets, as well as smaller carved and decorative items.
A useful and versatile plant in Bloom society, traditionally grown on lily pad farms by River People. Its leaves and roots are used in the construction of River dwellings, coracles or communal lily boats, and woven sails. Lily pads are also used as vine-pulled lifts in the Great Tree.
A large tree with silver-colored bark. It is popular in Bloom for its achingly beautiful shimmer in the twin moons light.
The tectonis tree yields the finest hardwood that Silvyran forests can provide. Not the most graceful, but thick and sturdy, used in Bloom for the building of durable boats.
The thorn tree, beautiful but menacing, can be grown into a hedge, its thornwood providing a sure barrier with its sharp barbs. Such a hedge encloses the governer’s garden in Aedela, protecting its precious flowers.
